LZR RACER- Speedo

Designed by Jimmy Stone, student

“Prior to the 2008 Bejieng Olympics Speedo launched the LZR RACER – the most revolutionary performance swimming suit ever made. In order to leverage positive news of the record breaking achievements of LZR athletes and position Speedo as the brand leader of swimming, I opted to redesign the entire LZR series. The packaging line took on a more modern look with white/silver colors and minimalist typography emphasizing the world breaking times each Speedo athlete achieved. Every package featured a world record time and story which tied back to a LZR website. On the website, users could study training schedules, review/buy product, interact on live chats with athletes, and most importantly keep track of personal LZR times in a member section.”

I Know i’m a little Late on this but it’s starting to grow on me

Uncultured Project

Kudos to this young man. Shawn, a Canadian who was attending Notre Dame for his Grad School when his lime took an unexpected turn after meeting Dr. Jeffery Sachs who came to the university to speak about Global poverty. Inspired with his eyes now reopened, Shawn withdrew from the university to begin his work in helping the people in need. And this is his journey which he has been documenting through youtube.

Life Changing Apparel

About Life Changing Apparel

Life Changing Apparel® began with the goal of making social responsibility simple enough for anyone to partake in. That is how we first came up with the concept of offering quality apparels with unique messages that provide value to you and also change the lives of children living in poverty.

Since then, our movement has grown and we have increased our support to include other social causes such as medical care and relief for natural disasters.

Currently, 75% of our profits go to various social causes depending on the your preference. This is a 50% increase from the amount donated when Life Changing Apparel® first launched. The remaining profit goes into expanding the outreach of Life Changing Apparel®. As we continue to grow, we hope to increase that number past 90%.

Life Changing Apparel® contributes through world renowned organizations such as Free the Children, World Vision, The Smile Train, Kiva and UNICEF. Our donations are being used for the following:

  • Food and other essential needs for families living in poverty around the world.
  • Construction of wells to provide clean and safe water for communities.
  • Establishment of schools to educate children who otherwise would not have had the opportunity.
  • Financial backing for entrepreneurs in third world countries to start-up small businesses which will provide economic benefits for the entire village.
  • Chicken, cow, sheep, fish, or a share of farm animals to provide nutrition, clothing and a steady income through trade.
  • Distribution of food, aid and shelter for natural disaster victims around the world.

More infomation on the benefits and costs of each cause can be found here.

Ethos Water: Helping Children Get Clean Water

Ethos water started out as a local bottled water company, established in California in 2003 by Jonathan Greenblatt and Peter Thum.In 2005 Starbucks purchased the company for $8 million and its products are now sold throughout North America. After Starbucks’ acquisition, the brand has become known for its campaign to raise ten million dollars by donating between five and ten cents from every sale to a non-governmental organization working to increase access to clean drinking water in the developing world.
